Dear听Brent听Community,

As we end this week with the vibrant celebration of听UN Day, we are reminded of the beauty and strength in our community.听We came together yesterday to honor the cultures and traditions that make up our global community, and we couldn鈥檛 be more grateful for the participation and enthusiasm of our students, PTA parents, and staff.

Looking back, the past few weeks have been filled with meaningful events and heartfelt moments, from honoring the memory of听Mrs. Ursula Alfa Daoey听to celebrating achievements at the听MUN Conference in Manila听and engaging in sports and service through our听Community Outreach.

Let us look forward to the exciting events ahead while taking a moment to reflect on the meaningful accomplishments of the past week.


 

Upcoming Events: November 25 鈥 December 1, 2024

  • November 23, Saturday: Shopper鈥檚 Day Hosted by PTA

    • Don鈥檛 miss out on Shopper鈥檚 Day tomorrow, hosted by our PTA! Join us for a day of shopping and community spirit. Let鈥檚 come together to support this wonderful initiative.

    • 听Math Olympiad- Mr. Josh Paludipan and a group of students will be joining the 27th Philippine Mathematical Olympiad on November 23, 2024, at Benguet State University, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Cheering for our Mathletes!

  • November 25, Monday, Day 1

    • 听This is the last week of clubs! CAS Expo Assembly on December 4.

    • IB Theatre 12 Class 2025 proudly presents Isaiah Joseph Bangsoy, Ah In Lee and Andre Ross Mikael Marquez 听performing their Solo Theatre Pieces on NOVEMBER 25 (BLOCK 4) in Chapel.

      • Only Grade 10, 11 and 12 are permitted to watch. Permission slips will be distributed during homeroom on Friday,听 November 22. Permission slips will be collected at the gate.

    • Last week of clubs! After-school clubs and sports practices continue.

    • STUCO鈥檚 Reindeer Hunt – Separate will be sent

  • November 26 (Tues), 28 (Thurs), and December 2 (Mon), Day 2: Business Pitch 2024 of Class 2026

    • All classes who may be interested in coming to watch as an audience for our Business Management students鈥 business pitch are welcome to join us during 2nd Block at Ogilby OH1.

  • November 26, Tuesday, Day 2: Lessons and Carols General Rehearsal | Boys鈥 Football Game

    • All participants including the acolytes, ushers, and almoners will meet for the final general rehearsal from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the chapel.

  • November 27, Wednesday, Day 1: Thanksgiving Holy Eucharist 7:45 All are invited.

  • November 28, Thursday Day 2 : House Games 鈥淐apture the Flag鈥

  • November 29, Friday, Day 1: Last Day of Clubs | Lessons and Carols General Rehearsal | All participants will meet for the final general rehearsal from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the chapel. Choir and orchestra members will meet at 9:00 a.m. to finalize preparations for the big event.

  • December 1, Sunday: Lessons and Carols Service

    • Join us for this beautiful annual tradition at 7:00 p.m. in St. Nicholas Chapel. Celebrate the season with music, scripture, and community fellowship.

    • Call time to all participants: 4:30 PM


 

Acknowledgments

  • The Global Issues Network Club organized a Blood Donation Drive in collaboration with the Red Cross last November 9th and we would like to thank everyone who supported this initiative. We had a total of 9 donors who stepped up to help save lives. To capture this day, we’ve put together a short We hope this inspires you to join us next time to continue to grow this meaningful effort together!

  • November 12-16: MUN Conference in Manila
    Congratulations to our members who attended the MUN Locals event in Manila: Seungjoo Lee, Soobeen Lee, Sangseo Yoon, Brice Brown, Gab Ortiz, Ah In Lee, Ram Campos, Bernardo III Vergara.

  • Ah In Lee, who received the Best Delegate Award, and well done to all participants for representing Brent with excellence. Well done to the MUN Club and Mr. James Young (supervisor) and Ms. Nicolai Carino chaperone.

  • November 20, Wednesday, Day 2: The Grades 6-9 RS students also participated in a Community Outreach program with Bethesda Children鈥檚 Home, demonstrating compassion and care. Thank you and congratulations to Dr. Julie, volunteer faculty and our RS students!
