It is normal to feel overwhelmed on the first day of school for both parents and children.. Here are a few tips to help make the day go smoothly:
-
Get a good night’s sleep. Both you and your child will be more relaxed and ready to go if you are well-rested.
-
Eat a healthy breakfast. A good breakfast will give your child the energy they need to start their day.
-
Pack a healthy lunch. Avoid sugary snacks and drinks.
-
Arrive early. This will give you time to get your child settled into their classroom and meet their teacher.
-
Be positive! The first day of school is a new beginning. Make sure your child knows that you are excited for them to start this new adventure. We’re all about making mistakes, having fun, learning and growing.
